welsh escapades.

i have been completely ignoring my blog lately, mainly because of my new-found obsession with Tumblr. yes, i finally decided to make a Tumblr. i'm quite intrigued by it because it's not a place where people 'write' necessarily - it's more about posting; anything and everything i guess. but short posts nonetheless. another reason for the neglect is that i spent all of last week finishing off an assignment i had due on Fri followed by spending the weekend with family in Cardiff, Wales. a beautiful and quaint place with incredibly polite people. i have to admit, i could never live in such a small town with a lack of tall buildings, city lights and big crowds but it was a nice little getaway; beautiful scenery, fresh air and a lot of sheep! i'm planning another trip in May once all my assignments, projects and exams are over and done with.

it's apparently Vernal Equinox today. for those of you who don't know, an Equinox occurs twice a year when the sun crosses the plane of the equator making night and day approximately equal length all over the Earth. it also marks the start of Spring! however, today was so very gloomy with gray skies and a constant drizzle throughout the day. WHERE is Spring?!

if you haven't already seen Lady Gaga's new video for Telephone featuring Beyonce, you absolutely must! it's 10 minutes long to begin with but is so amazingly creative. i love these two, it's a collaboration made in outer space! who else do you think Gaga should collaborate with? i think Rihanna and her would be pretty crazy; also Gwen Stefani.

i'm still procrastinating my International Marketing assignment. i have managed to get a start on it but distractions get in the way, one after the other. i hope to get through at least half of it by the end of tomorrow but i don't really see it happening. there's nothing wrong with planning ahead eh? Easter Break is in two weeks, though i wouldn't really classify it as a break. my mind is so crazed right now by all that needs to get done, including a much postponed trip to Wales to visit my aunt and cousins.

time not wasted.

i am having major issues getting through my International Marketing assignment! to be fair, i got a good bit of it done yesterday; the structure, appendices and i know my approach. i just cannot seem to put all the pieces together! i have been wasting (who was it that said that the time you enjoy wasting is time not wasted?) my time by watching CNN, random documentaries and going through pages after pages of beautiful Tumblr pictures - yes, my new obsession! why is it that i can only work well under pressure? looks like introducing Innocent Smoothies to the Malaysian market will have to wait a little while longer.

i am however extremely happy about the stunning weather this past week. bright sunshine and clear, blue skies. if only the temperature would kindly increase a few degrees as it's still pretty chilly outside. i cannot wait to wear Spring/Summer clothes! and it's about time, we're already into the first week of March. yes, March! it feels like i'm writing every post in a new month because i keep saying, 'it's already January', 'it's already February' and alas! it is now March. Easter Break begins in exactly 3 weeks. i've got 3 assignments, 1 dissertation project and 1 exam before everything is officially o v e r.

on a random note: an incredibly interesting article i came across during my procrastination about men today and their increasing levels of immaturity and general reluctance to 'grow up' -- The Basement Boys.
