flaunt.

i haven't seen her in a while; Rachel Bilson in Flaunt Magazine. i love the third shot! she will forever be Summer Roberts to me. back in the days when the whole world was obsessed with The OC. it reminds me so much of high school and the initiation of my love for Indie music. strange how life happens in phases; things go in and out of style.

skin and bones.

another week, grey and wet with the usual list of assignments and deadlines just bursting at the seams. it's depressing how monotonous these days have become and how much i live for tomorrow rather than today. it's paradoxical, the weeks seem to be passing at the blink of an eye yet the days go by at a painstaking pace. that's just how i feel, like skin and bones; lifeless. counting down the hours, minutes and seconds; i didn't realize that there are just five (well, technically 4 1/2) weeks left till i am back home. we are half-way through November. time to cram!

one week till my 21st birthday. it's meant to be some sort of a 'rite of passage' isn't it? i beg to differ.

being human.

1. You will receive a body. You may like it or hate it, but it’s yours to keep for the entire period.

2. You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called, “life.”

3. There are no mistakes, only lessons. Growth is a process of trial, error, and experimentation. The “failed” experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiments that ultimately “work.”

4. Lessons are repeated until they are learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it, you can go on to the next lesson.

5. Learning lessons does not end. There’s no part of life that doesn’t contain its lessons. If you’re alive, that means there are still lessons to be learned.

6. “There” is no better a place than “here.” When your “there” has become a “here”, you will simply obtain another “there” that will again look better than “here.”

7. Other people are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something you love or hate about yourself.

8. What you make of your life is up to you. You have all the tools and resources you need. What you do with them is up to you. The choice is yours.

9. Your answers lie within you. The answers to life’s questions lie within you. All you need to do is look, listen, and trust.

10. You will forget all this.

november.

it is officially November. a mere two months till the end of the year. a month and a half till i'm back home and a little over two weeks till my 21st; with assignments and Graduate Recruitment applications sprinkled in between (sprinkled may be a bit of an understatement). a belated Happy Halloween to you all. mine was nothing great nor eventful as i spent my night slaving away on upcoming deadlines. this will be probably my busiest week since being back at Uni and i cannot wait till Friday!

i hope you're November is as bursting at the seams as mine is.
