the boy who lived.

i am not able to contain my excitement over the fact that i will be going to watch Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince tonight! i cannot believe how long it has been - since the last movie and since Potter-madness began in the first place. i believe the first book came out in 1997; i was about 9 years old then!...and eleven years down the line, the world is still going ga-ga over the franchise (not to subside before 2011 when the final installment of the movie will be released). Half-Blood Prince apparently had the biggest midnight opening ever on Wednesday night, hoarding in $22 million and beating The Dark Knight's record from last summer.

i think it's safe to say that i have practically grown up with Mr. Potter and his fellow wizards. it actually makes me laugh thinking back to when i was 14 and head-over-heels in love with Daniel Radcliffe; calling it an obsession would have been an understatement. i was a completely smitted, over-the-top and devoted little teenager to little Radcliffe. it does make me sad though, how badly the guy now looks like an overgrown child; he had so much potential! but i guess that is where Robert Pattinson comes into the picture; looking both his age and being of a decent height. sigh...i do seem to have a soft spot for these Brit boys.

a pretty good way to end my week; Harry Potter tonight and off to India tomorrow. i hope you all have a magical weekend.
